The Samsung Lions of professional baseball have signed an internal free agent (FA) infielder Ryu Ji-hyuk.
The terms of the contract are up to 2.6 billion won for four years, with a down payment of 300 million won, a total of 1.7 billion won for a four-year salary, and a total of 600 million won for four-year incentives.
Ryu Ji-hyuk, who joined the Doosan Bears in 2012, moved to the KIA Tigers in 2020 and wore a Samsung uniform in the middle of last season.
His professional performance is 0.269, 646 hits, 17 home runs, 266 RBIs, 396 runs, and 81 steals.
This season, he played in 100 games and batted .258 with three home runs and 36 RBIs.
"Ryu is a utility player who can see all infield positions and has the capability to carry out operations that are essential for various team tactics," the team said. "Ryu also contributed to Samsung's rise in the 2024 season with his leadership leading young players."
After signing the contract, Ryu Ji-hyuk said through the club, "I'm glad that I can continue to play baseball for Samsung. The idea that I could go to another team was completely blocked by (former) Ja-wook and (Kang) Min-ho. I told them not to go anywhere but to continue together." 온라인바카라
"My wife likes it the most, and my children like it too. My children love blue," he said.
Ryu Ji-hyuk, who said he still can't forget losing to KIA in this year's Korean Series, said, "My goal is to win no matter what," adding, "Thank you to the fans. Please continue to support me."
